Altered Book Envelope Page

One of the most simple altered book pages you can create is an envelope page. Use an envelope page to store mini pieces of artwork, notes to yourself, or small pieces of inspiration.

How to Create an Envelope Page

Supplies needed:

  • A book for altering

  • Adhesive: Glue stick or PVA Glue

  • An envelope

Step 1: Choose an envelope

Any envelope will do! I love finding unique envelopes, like the vintage air mail envelope I used for this tutorial. Check that the size of the envelope will fit on one book page.

Step 2: Add Glue to the back of the envelope

You will glue the flat side of the envelope onto the book page, so that the side with the opening is accessible.

Step 3: Glue onto your book page

Always check that there is no glue on the envelope flap so that you can open and close it easily.

Step 4: Add items into your envelope

Add any of the following: mini pieces of art, notes to yourself, notes from loved ones, photos, inspirational quotes, stickers, collage pieces to save for other pages ...
