Hello!

I’m Sylvia.

We all need a space to recognize feelings, talk about the people or things you’re struggling with, or just set down what you're carrying for an hour.

I work with kids, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed with anxiety, feel stuck in cycles of depression, or struggle with connection in relationships. Whether it’s self-doubt, repeating negative patterns, or feelings of hopelessness, these challenges can make life feel harder—affecting everything from your day-to-day experiences to your relationships and sense of personal growth.

Therapy can help make sense of limiting self beliefs and disordered patterns that make it difficult to create change. By using art and creative expression, we can explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels safe and meaningful, especially in processing major life events and traumatic experiences. Art helps bring those internal experiences to the surface, giving us the chance to step back and see things from a new perspective.

Together, we’ll work to understand those patterns and find a way forward that feels more hopeful, balanced, and true to who you are.

individual therapy for kids and teens

Therapy with me might be right for your child if they’re experiencing challenges with peer and family relationships, or you think they may be struggling with anxiety or depression. You might notice your child reacting to changes in their life with overwhelming feelings that seem to have nowhere to go. Or, they may seem indifferent to a major stressors, but are having difficulty adapting in other parts of daily life. Art therapy can help if your kid or teen seems to have trouble expressing themselves through words.

Therapy with kids starts by giving them the space to make art, get creative, and lead our time together. As we get to know each other, I will take time to understand how they’ve been coping with life’s challenges and create opportunities for self expression through art making.

individual therapy for adults

I work with adults who are feeling overwhelmed with the day-to-day, feeling overwhelmed with cycles of anxiety and depression, or want to process experiences of unresolved trauma. You don’t have to have all of the answers. I can support you in finding the healthiest version of you for this season of life.

Therapy begins with an intake session where we will talk about your life experiences and begin building a treatment plan to address your overall needs. This will help us create a foundation for the therapy work so that you can build on the skills you already have to cope with your current experiences. In sessions, I will help guide the art making process so that you can participate in therapy in a way that feels right for you.

Clients can begin by scheduling a free 15-minute consultation or full 45-50-minute intake session. I recommend weekly sessions for 4-6 weeks to establish consistency. Ready to get started? Click the button below.
