Updates from aat

Inclement Weather Policy

Services will be provided via our telehealth platform and the physical office will close if the Federal Government is closed due to inclement weather or roads are unsafe for travel.

If the road conditions are safe at the time of your appointment, the federal government is open, and you are not able to make your appointment or participate in a telehealth session, your missed session will be treated as a late cancellation and the full session fee will be charged.

If you have questions about the best approach according to your therapeutic support needs, please contact your clinician directly to determine the best plan for the circumstances.

An email will be sent out the morning of your session if the office will be closed or the schedule is altered. If you do not receive an email, the office is open as scheduled. Check your email prior to coming to your appointment and contact your clinician if you have questions.

COVID-19

Procedures related to COVID-19 or any health crisis are subject to change at any time and AAT adheres to public ordinances and CDC guidelines. AAT has historically required vaccination for COVID-19 (per CDC guidelines) to participate in in-person sessions. Due to current challenges with accessibility, we no longer require vaccination for in-person services.

By coming to the office, clients are assuming the risk of exposure to and illness from infectious diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19. While we establish safety protocols to decrease risk factors, the risk of serious illness does exist.

To obtain services in person, you agree to take certain precautions which will help keep everyone (you, us, and our community) safer from exposure and illness. If you do not adhere to these safeguards, your clinician may require services to be provided virtually only.

We request that if you are experiencing cold, flu, or COVID-like symptoms, that you meet virtually. If you are not well enough to attend school/work, have had a fever within 24 hours of your session, or GI distress within 24 hours of your session, please do not attend in-person sessions and request a telehealth visit from your clinician.

If you or a member of your household test positive for COVID-19, we require a negative test or the absence of symptoms prior to attending in-person services. While you are testing positive, you may participate virtually.
